Rhodia Responds: Your dotWebbie

Stephanie

The new dotWebbies (arriving this Spring) have pale gray dots on the 90g off- white Webbie paper.

When Karen & I first discussed the dotWebbies, I asked her what paper they would contain. Would they have white paper with the violet dots (as in the existing dotPads), or off-white paper with pale gray dots- similar to the lined version of the Webbie to which she responded, “White with violet.”

Yup. You heard right. The dotWebbies were originally going to have white paper. I said to Karen, “but it seems like people are pretty happy with the off-white paper in their hard bound Webbies. Could we ask our fans and see which they would prefer?” Though the white paper was already on order, she said – “Sure. Let’s see how people respond.” Sure enough, it was a landslide. People wanted the off-white paper with the gray dots. Now don’t get me wrong… the dotPads with the white/violet combination are some of our best selling Rhodia products, but in journal form, people seem to prefer off-white paper. And so Karen shouted, “Stop the presses!” or something of the sort, and voilà! Your wish is our command.

  1. Hi
I don’t know if you still want comments on this post, but I was wondering how the dot paper has gone down vs lined, plain or 5/5 grid? We have just started selling it and early signs are that it is surprisingly popular.
